How to meet your training goals:

Sit down with one of the gym’s personal trainers to develop a specialized plan for your race goals. Or find your favorite group fitness class and stick with it for several weeks. Commit to consistency, and you can expect to see major results!

Outdoor running

Did you know Atlantic Station spans 138 acres in the heart of Atlanta? That means there are endless walking and running paths to explore around the campus.

How to meet your training goals:

To complete a long loop, start your route at IKEA. Take 16th Street all the way east to Market Street NW, then turn left at the light and enjoy a jog through the center of Atlantic Station. Cut across 19th Street, then run past Target and back to IKEA on 18th Street.

This route is 1.6 miles. If training for a 10K like the Peachtree, complete the loop two or three times.

If you’re looking for a shorter route, stick to Atlantic Station’s shopping district. Start at Chase Bank, then make your way around the perimeter of the district. Loop in past Atlantic Green on E. District Avenue all the way down to 17th, then back up on District Avenue NW. Complete the run by returning to Chase.

This jog clocks in at 0.85 miles, perfect for fitness beginners.

Cycling

Atlanta boasts several prominent cycling groups like Critical Mass that lead group rides around the city. Atlantic Station is a popular starting point for group rides thanks to our expansive parking garage and two hours of free parking.

We welcome cyclists on-site and have several bike racks scattered throughout the district. Atlantic Station also recently installed a Relay docking station, conveniently located at District Avenue NW and 17th Street, providing visitors and tenants an affordable option to explore the area by bike. Just keep in mind that bikes are not allowed on sidewalks or in parking decks to ensure the safety of pedestrians.

How to meet your training goals:

Hop on a Relay bicycle and take a leisurely tour of Atlantic Station and the surrounding neighborhoods. Cycling is a great way to burn calories while having fun! An added bonus is that cycling is low impact, meaning the activity puts less pressure on your joints than other options like running. It’s a great choice for fitness-minded folks battling injuries.

If you’re extra motivated, consider cycling to or from work. The roads surrounding Atlantic Station are equipped with bike lanes to keep cyclists safe.
